Subjects include schools, churches, civic organizations, the Port Washington trolley, Long Island Rail Road, estates and family history. Items of note include a map of the Manhasset School District, 1942; typescript of a talk by Carlos W. Munson on the history of Flower Hill; photocopies of minutes, shareholder lists and stock certificates for the Bethpage Turnpike Co. and Jericho Turnipike Co., 1881-1853; photographs and clippings concerning Dr. Charles Niesley and his sons; tax receipts, bills, school programs and report cards, selective service documents and other papers by Alexander McIntosh and his son James McIntosh, 1908-1941; questionnaires filled out by long time residents, 1953, giving recollections of events and conditions in the area; proposals, reports, policies and other material on the Community Service Center, Inc., of Manhasset, 1966-1972; and proposals, reports, memos, minutes of public meetings, bills, work orders, letters, pamphlets and clippings concerning setting up and regulating a cable television franchise in the Village of Flower Hill and other communities in the Town of North Hempstead, 1981-1986.
